Elderly

Find out more about us and what we stand for

‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) said "He is not of us who does not have mercy on young children, nor honour the elderly". [Tirmidhi]

The elderly and other vulnerable members of the population, such as children, are disproportionately represented among Pakistan’s homeless population. Musafir intends to step in by working with other senior living facilities across the country that have a solid reputation and are well-established.

We not only visit elderly homes in person and offer general assistance with things like shopping, doctor appointments, or even just a nice conversation, but we also plan activity days for senior citizens to meet and converse with one another. This allows seniors to feel less isolated and more engaged in their communities. In addition to that, plan activities such as going to the park, going out to eat, and day trips. We believe that no one should be left behind on days of celebration, and as a result, it is of the utmost importance to us to bring the community together in order to mark significant dates and noteworthy festivals such as Eid.

You have the opportunity to provide financial support to a senior citizen who lives in one of our partner nursing homes through the Musafir programme. ensuring that they have enough money each month or year to cover their essential expenses.
